About us
Donkey's Marine, founded in 2023, marks the culmination of Shane's remarkable journey. Starting as a Barge operator in 2012, Shane continually made customers feel like family. After people noticed how chatty Shane is when he is in his happy place, the water, he got the nickname Donkey. As Donkey, from the movie Shrek, he never stops talking. He swiftly ascended to management in 2023. After getting the experience under him, he thought it was time to take the dock business in his own hands. The nickname, Donkey, sounded like a good start to a business name. We don't only do dock and lift work, but all things marine. Along came the name Donkey's Marine. Alongside Donkey on this adventure are his six kids and wife. Everyone helps out the business in their own way. You will see our oldest son, Ethan, helping out on the water or in the shop and our oldest daughter, Leah, helping out in the office. We are excited to see where this business takes us and the customers that will become family.
